“This is the last formal meeting at this Town Hall. The building has served both Council and citizens well over the years and it has been a good facility for the Town with a lot of important decisions being made in the Council Chambers by the various Councils that have been here. Decisions made here dealt with getting the Town deputy, buying a fire truck, paying off the debt for the Fire Department, building a walking track at the school, building the water system, a park and a new Town Hall and a number of other things began within the walls of this Town Hall. …..there is some sadness and nostalgia when we leave this place. It deserves some recognition.”
