NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Stokesdale Town Council will hear a request to amend the Official Zoning Map and possible amendment to the Future Land Use plan. After the hearing, the Town Council may take final action on the request.

REZONING CASE 18-04-STPL-02044: A request to change zoning from AG to CZ-RS-30 with conditions. Subject property is on south side of Belews Creek Road across from Mt Caramel Road and north of Colgate Rd, Guilford County Tax Parcels 0167162, 0167126, and 0167121(pt.), approximately 95 acres. Applicant, Meredith College.

General Statement - Position of Town Clerk
The position of Town Clerk is a quasi-public position or “public office” within the meaning of Article VI, Section 7 of the North Carolina Constitution and is not strictly a 9-to-5 job. Therefore said Town Clerk is expected to take (should take) an Oath of Office before assuming the duties of said Town Clerk.
The Town Clerk serves as Clerk (Secretary) to the Town Council and performs professional level management and hands-on clerical work in the origination and maintenance of the official municipal records and documents of the Town. Considerable tact, courtesy and discretion are required in the frequent and varied contacts with the public. The work is performed in accordance with North Carolina General Statutes, municipal ordinances, standard office procedures and is reviewed by Town Council through observation, conferences, deadlines and compliance with legal and statutory requirements.
Desirable Experience and Training
Graduation from a four-year college or university with a major in public administration, business or related field and experience in a variety of governmental positions. As a minimum, have graduated from high school and same supplemented by business courses or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
