How do I know if I have a PLUMBING problem vs. Town Water Issue?
If you've suddenly lost significant water pressure or have no pressure at all, it is a good idea to call one or two of your neighbors. If they have water, there's a good chance you have a plumbing issue. You may call Town Hall during routine business hours to report low volume pressure, and we'll help identify if the system is being flushed or if something has occurred, such as an auto accident resulting in ruptured lines. In the event of a true water emergency, like water gushing up from the ground, you activate 911 to activate the Fire Department to your home.
The Town purchases water from the City of Winston-Salem.
