The Stokesdale Christmas Parade Committee cordially invites you to participate in the 2018 Parade.

The parade will be held on Saturday, December 8th, 2018, beginning at 2:00 pm in downtown Stokesdale. Those of who have joined us in the past will be familiar with how and where we stage the parade. We'll be sending information about all that as the time draws nearer!  We prefer to communicate via e-mail, so please provide us with the best address for your group. You can also email us directly at stokesdale@stokesdale.org

Please complete the application and then return it to The Town of Stokesdale, PO Box 465, Stokesdale, NC 27357, along with a check made payable to the town for the appropriate amount. ($25 for regular entry, $5 for equine, no charge for schools/church groups/non-profit organizations).

Crossroads Community Church will again be announcing entries as they pass by the Stokesdale fire station. If you will take a few minutes to give them some information about your group, they will be glad to tell everyone about you!

The deadline for returning the application is Wednesday, November 21st, 2018.  All entries received after this date will be placed at the back of the parade.

We also hope that you can join us for the Town Tree Lighting on Saturday, December 1st, at 6:30 pm at the Stokesdale Town Hall, 8325 Angel Pardue Road. There will be refreshments, entertainment AND a visit from Santa!!!

Please contact the Town Hall at (336) 643-4011 with any questions.

Looking forward to another great parade and to seeing you there!!!!

LET'S ALL BE GOOD STEWARDS OF THE TOWN PARK PLEASE.
Parents please monitor your children when they use the restroom facilities.
In the last two weeks we have had entire rolls of toilet tissue stuffed into toilets causing the toilets to clog and run over.  Yesterday we discovered one toilet that had not only an entire roll of toilet paper but a metal rod with a chain attached to it stuffed into a toilet.  Our poor cleaning lady had to reach in and pull this out and unclog the third toilet in two weeks.  Not to mention the metal rod with chain could have broken the toilet.

We don't charge property taxes, and our fees for renting the facilities are not expensive.  If we continue to have this kind of vandalism we may be forced to either limit use of the park restrooms or we don't want to have to change our fee schedule based on plumbing repairs.

We love to see adults, teens, children, and dogs playing and walking in the park. We are working hard to bring more shelters, sitting and playing areas to the park.  Help us keep it safe, clean, and undamaged.
